THINGS THAT WILL ONE DAY MAKE ME LAUGH....BUT NOT TODAY!

Picture a beautiful chocolate cream pie, with homemade pie crust (thanks sara). picture me hard at work in the kitchen all day long. picture me putting the finishing touches on to the pie. cool whip and dollips of chocolate chips adorn the top. i was so excited to finally do something for someone else that was nice and i was so excited to have my family deliver it for family home evening that night! as i deliberated on which frig to place my work of art...i decided on the frig out in the garage....why? for safety of course. i wanted sister quigley to GET the pie! as i walked towards the garage, someone caught my eye...my beautiful t-man was smiling at me and so i lovingly looked sideways at him and did NOT SEE the cabinet door that had been left open by my darling son! well I HAD TO STOP on a dime to avoid hitting that cabinet...whew....ahhhhhhhhhh, yep the pie did not stop as quickly as i did; in fact it went flying as far as i have ever seen a pie fly and then landed upside down!!!!!!!!!CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP! i left it there, i couldn't bear to look at it and clean it up! so i CRIED OVER MAKING OUR DINNER. than my wonderful husband came galloping thru the back door only to see that pie on the floor and say, "did you know there was a pie on the flooor?" this is where i ask, you, the reader: have you ever had an ugly cry? you know the one, where you are trying to hold back the tears and explain your situation only to have sound come out of you that closely resembles camels in pain. my husband, says, "ok, its ok" and proceeds to clean it up..........so i thought.....about 15 minutes passes and i am now feeding my baby on the couch wondering what we are going to take for family night to this wonderful sister in my ward, when tim says: "well...i saved the pie; i skimmed the top layer and it worked out ok!" i blurt out: "we are NOT TAKING that pie that fell on the floor to sis. quig..........." and before i could finish he says: " not her.. US; we can have it for family nite." well it wasn't what i had invisioned but i knew that one day in a few short weeks, i would laugh about it, but it wasn't that day!

OH that is sooooo bad! What a sad story. I'm sure you will laugh one day, but I would have cried too!
What a funny guy you are married to! Glad that he didn't suggest taking the pie to the sister. That would have been too much!!
LOVE the blog!!

LOL! I know WAY TOO WELL the "ugly cry" and camel in pain??!! Hilarious!

Anyhow, I'm so excited about your blog venture. Cheers to many more fun posts that make me realize I'm not the only one who thinks I might be going nuts! So fun to laugh at later, if we last that long!

Ha ha ... the ugly cry that Oprah has made famous. I think we all know that cry. It's physically impossible to have your face leak water from the tear ducts and snot from the nose as you are filled with unpleasant thoughts ... and still look good.

Poor Sis. Quigley. She doesn't even know what she missed.
