STOCKTON HUISH!!!!!!
We are all stunned over here, (yes, even stockton...he couldn't believe he was even in the geography bee) because he has really struggled with his maps this year and his teacher makes people who get less than 85% on their map tests join her map clubs and they GET to stay in at recess and discover how much they love maps and studying them. Well i guess being in THAT map club TWICE this year thus far paid off....thanks Ms. Kocher!!! Congrats Stockton! U ROCK! incidentally, the winning answer was Kansas and after he won he asked me (with no knowledge of the wizard of oz) "mom, can i GO HOME early now" hee hee! Now he gets to compete in April on the state level, etc. and you should have seen his face when the moderator told him he gets to study over the winter break to prepare for the big test in April.....his chin probably dropped a mile in shock! He thought he was done....priceless!
